Babylon's translation software, a personal review:
I have come across babylon while looking for appropriate translation software via Google. There right at the top of the page I found a link called Dictionary/Wörterbuch that led straight to babylon translation software. I decided to use a trial version at first but soon became hooked and bought not only the Babylon 7 Text translation in a single click-software but shortly afterwards the engineering/technical version of the dictionary too.
Having used many different software dictionaries as a freelance translator before, and having experienced many incombatibilities between different brands, I feel much relieved with babylon to offer a unique translation software that really helps with a great variety of translation problems.
With its single click-routine right onto the term in question it is very easy to handle and gives information that goes far beyond the translation of a word. Apart from the inclusion of Wikipedia there are a large number of links to references and in many cases babylon automatically translates terms consisting of two or even three words right away. I find this very helpful since it is mostly terms consisting of more than one word that cause real problems in translation. Thus I would personally like to see this special feature to be extended further.
